A finished, fully painted collector figure from Bandai, portraying the central character of the episode The Duel from the Star Wars Visions anthology. It is not a model to be built. The figure comes completed from the factory, so nothing is glued, sanded or painted, and the customer stands it straight into a display case.
In its treatment it is a representative piece that works in a collection as a main exhibit rather than as an addition to a row of small figures.
Star Wars Visions is an anthology of short animated films in which Japanese studios treated the world of Star Wars with their own visual hand. The episode The Duel is shot in the black and white style of classic Japanese period films and its hero is a silent wanderer called the Ronin, who stands up against the odds in a remote village. It is exactly the joining of the samurai genre with lightsabers that won the episode the greatest response of the whole anthology.
A piece like this deserves a glazed display case, where dust does not get at it. Dust it with a soft brush or a bulb blower, not with a wet cloth and without solvents. Direct sunlight will gradually lighten the colors, so do not stand the figure by a window. Keep the package; with pieces like this it matters for the value of a collection as well.
