Green Stuff World static grass with a fiber length of 2 to 3 mm in the brown shade of dry moor grass, for dioramas and model railroad layouts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Static grass is fine dyed fibers used to make grassy growth on a diorama or a model railroad layout. This variant has fibers 2 to 3 mm long and a brown shade of the kind dry grass takes on peat bogs and heaths at the end of summer. Short fibers suit trodden and low growth, that is the edges of tracks, airfield surfaces, farmyards or the undergrowth between taller tufts.
Lay a continuous coat of PVA glue or of a glue made for grass on the base and apply the fibers into it with a static grass applicator. That charges the fibers, so they land upright and the growth looks alive. Without an applicator the fibers are simply scattered and stay lying down, which is good only for trampled places. Once the glue has dried, tap or vacuum the loose fibers off and use them again.
Growth looks more convincing when the shades are mixed and applied in two or three steps rather than as one continuous area. Lay down a base layer first, add tufts of a different shade once it has dried and finish with bushes or foliage. The brown tone suits late summer and autumn, and it can be mixed with green shades into a parched meadow. Store the fibers in a closed container, or they scatter over the whole bench.
The glue, the static grass applicator and the base of the diorama are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
