A modeling paint in the sandy yellow shade Stone Yellow with a reference to the FS 33448 chip, code HTK-A258.
Responsibility details are not available.
Stone Yellow is a light sandy yellow shade that leans in its name on the FS 33448 chip from the American Federal Standard chart. A reference to a chart is practical: by the number of the chip the shade can be compared with the paints of other manufacturers without relying on its verbal name alone. Light sandy tones behave treacherously on a model, because the base shows through them, so it pays to apply them over a light base and in several light coats.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, so that the settled pigment is mixed in. Apply it to a clean, dry and degreased surface; on smooth plastic the coat holds more reliably over a primer coat. Proceed in several thin coats and let the paint dry between them, otherwise the fine details of the surface will be lost. Choose the thinner and the ratio of thinning according to the instructions of the manufacturer on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. Close the container carefully after the work and wipe the rim, so that the lid comes off easily next time.
The paint is intended for modelers who build vehicles and aircraft in desert and sandy camouflage, and it also suits the dusty bases of a diorama. It serves well as a base beneath weathering later, that is, beneath dusting with pigment, glazes into details and chipping.
The paint in the stated shade is supplied on its own. A thinner, brushes, an airbrush, glue and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Verify the volume of the package and its place in the color range by the item code before you buy.
