Stripes of yellow paper 0,8mm

What it is

A set of narrow strips of yellow paper 0.8 mm wide from the category of universal masking supplies. Cutting a strip this thin and at the same time this even from ordinary masking tape is a nuisance and rarely comes out the same the second time; ready-made strips do away with that work. The yellow color is clearly visible on a model, so before spraying you can check at first glance what is covered and what is not.

Where it is useful

It comes into its own wherever a thin line or a narrow stripe is to be created: decorative lines on car bodies, sharp divisions between two shades of camouflage, the frames of small glazing, the outlining of edges or the masking of joints. The width of 0.8 mm is the same regardless of scale, so in larger scales it creates a fine line and in small scales a bold stripe.

How to work with the strips

• Work with a degreased and perfectly cured base, or the paint beneath the mask will peel off during removal as well.
• Lay the strips with tweezers and lead them smoothly; an interrupted line shows in the result.
• Press the edges down carefully once in place, so that the paint cannot get under them.
• Spray the paint in several weak coats; a heavy coat creates a ridge at the edge.
• Remove a mask shortly after the paint has set, slowly and at a sharp angle back over itself.

Masking strips are supplied. Paints, varnishes and other masking material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
