Super Robot Wars, Alteisen is a plastic kit of a combat robot from the Japanese manufacturer Bandai. The parts are pre-colored in the plastic and snap together, so the model comes about without glue and without painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
Alteisen is one of the best known machines from the Super Robot Wars game series, and Bandai releases it as a plastic snap-fit kit. That means the parts are already colored right through and snap together: you need neither glue nor paints. It is precisely this method of building that makes Japanese kits a rewarding start for anyone who wants a finished, colorful model within one or two evenings. The range designation is in the name itself and determines how demanding the build is.
Alteisen is a combat robot from the original story line of the Super Robot Wars series. It is conceived as a heavy machine for close-range fighting: it has a massive torso, a prominent right forearm with an impact module and an altogether stocky, armored silhouette that sets it apart from the slimmer and faster machines of the same world. Its dark red coloring is characteristic as well, and the snap-fit kit handles it through the color of the plastic.
Separate the parts with nippers a small distance from the part and then level the rest of the gate with a sharp knife or a fine needle file; on dark plastic a white nick from the nippers shows clearly otherwise. Anyone who wants to go further can still paint the model; the red surfaces are nicely drawn out by a thin matte varnish and panel lines picked out with a dark panel color. The metallic details on the chest and limbs can be brought to life with silver paint from a brush.
The model is built by snapping the parts together; glue is not needed. Tools, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
