Texture Plate - ChainMail - Size M

ChainMail texture plate in size M from Green Stuff World

A plate with an engraved relief of chain mail, in the variant with a medium-sized link. Impressing it into soft modeling putty creates an area of mail that would be immensely slow to carve by hand and never as regular. The designation Size M refers to the link size of the pattern, not to the size of the plate. The dimensions of the plate and the material are stated on the box.

Use

• Roll the modeling putty out into a thin, even layer.
• Lightly moisten the plate and the putty, or wipe them with a release agent, otherwise the putty will stick in the relief.
• Press evenly over the whole area, ideally with a roller rather than with your fingers, otherwise the impression comes out uneven.
• Lift the impression off carefully, let it cure and only then trim it to shape.
• Glue the finished sheet onto the figure and blend the transitions with filler.

Who it is for

For painters of fantasy and historical figures, converters and anyone who makes their own armor, mail skirts or hoods. The medium link size is the versatile choice for the usual sizes of warriors; finer and coarser variants of the same pattern suit different figure scales.

The plate is a tool, not a kit. Modeling putty, release agent and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
