The AMMO Transparator auxiliary medium in the matte version, 17 ml. It is added to paint where a coat should stay semi-transparent.
Responsibility details are not available.
Transparator is an auxiliary medium from AMMO that is mixed into paint so that the coat stays semi-transparent and does not hide what is beneath it. Where an opaque coat would wipe out previous work, it lets you build glazes, fine filters and smooth transitions between shades. The version marked as matte is intended for models that are meant to end up without gloss, so the coat does not change the character of the surface.
They do most of their work in evening out areas and in fine toning: the middle of a large area can be lightened and the edges darkened, and the whole no longer looks flat, like a single blast from a can. It will also serve to keep the transition between two camouflage shades soft, or to let finished wear blend into the surface instead of forming a sharp island.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Add the medium to the paint in small amounts and try the ratio on a spare area or a test card, because every shade reacts differently and heavily pigmented paints need more. Apply it in thin coats and let the surface dry between them: the effect is built up by the number of coats, not by their thickness. The mixing ratio and compatibility with a particular paint range are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, so follow those instructions. After work, close the bottle carefully and clean your tools.
One bottle of 17 ml is supplied. Paints, thinner, the model and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
