Plastic tubes 5 mm in diameter, five pieces in the package. A material for scratchbuilding, for modifying models and for diorama accessories.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tube is one of the most universal semi-finished materials a modeler keeps in a drawer. Out of five millimeters you can make an exhaust, a pipe, a barrel, a gun barrel, a railing post, a chimney, engine room piping or an axle for something to turn on. Unlike a solid profile, a tube has a hole, so it also yields parts that are meant to be hollow inside, and that without drilling. It comes in useful when repairing kits, when finishing dioramas and when building to your own drawing.
According to the product name the package holds five tubes measuring five millimeters. The length of a single piece and the wall thickness are given on the packaging.
It can be cut with a modeling saw or a sharp knife. Turn the tube as you go and score it all the way around so the wall does not get crushed. Then level the end on sandpaper laid on a bench top, as you will not keep a straight cut freehand. Chamfer the inner edge of the hole with a slightly larger drill so the rim does not look cut off. Super glue holds the joints, and on larger areas roughening the end helps. Reinforce a butt joint that has to carry something with a wire pin pushed into the hole. Wash and degrease the surface before painting.
Glue, paints and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
