Hasegawa Trytool - parts picker (thicker version) is a modeling aid with a tacky tip that safely lifts, holds and moves small parts where tweezers slip. It is not a kit but a workshop tool.
Responsibility details are not available.
The picker is a simple hand tool for picking up and moving small parts. At its point it carries a tacky tip that grips the part gently, so it works neither as a vacuum sucker nor as pincers. That is exactly why it handles items tweezers hold very badly: flat, smooth or round parts, small photo-etched pieces, buckles, control levers or a softened decal. The part sticks to the tip, you carry it over the spot where it belongs, and once it is seated, typically in a drop of glue, it releases from the tip easily. This version has a thicker, more robust tip, so it is meant for somewhat larger and heavier small parts than the finest micro variant.
For every modeler whose small parts jump out of the tweezers and vanish into the carpet, which is to say for practically everyone. It will be appreciated above all by builders of photo-etched accessories, interiors, figures and detail sets, where the parts are a few millimeters across. It is also useful when building in the smaller scales and when fine-tuning details on a finished model.
If the tackiness of the tip drops over time, washing the tip in lukewarm water and letting it dry is usually enough to bring the grip back. Keep the tip away from dust and do not touch it with greasy hands. The tool is supplied on its own; paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package.
