About product

Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue: lacquer spray (Tamiya)

This is a synthetic lacquer in a pressurized spray can that lays down a pearl light blue color with a fine pearl effect. The paint dries quickly and forms a smooth, even surface, which is why it suits car model bodies and other larger areas above all. The can is ready to use straight away and needs no thinning.

Use

  • Before spraying, clean and degrease the surface and prime it if needed.
  • A pearl shade shows best over a white or light base, so a white base coat is ideal.
  • Spray from about 25 to 30 cm in thin, successive coats; several thin coats give a better result than one heavy one.
  • Suitable for plastic and for primed surfaces; shake the can well before use.
  • Once the lacquer has dried, details can be picked out with enamel or acrylic paints.

Who it is for

Modelers building cars and other subjects will appreciate it when they want a pearl light blue finish of consistent factory quality without needing an airbrush.

Flammable aerosol under pressure. Use in a well-ventilated space, away from open flames and sources of heat. Keep out of direct sunlight and do not expose it to high temperatures.
