Tamiya TS-88 Titanium Silver is a synthetic lacquer spray from Tamiya in a titanium silver shade. It is not a kit but a spray paint ready for immediate use — just remove the cap and spray it on. The shade imitates the characteristic coloring of titanium on metal parts, such as motorcycle frames and exhausts or jet engine components. The lacquer dries quickly and suits larger surfaces especially well. The package holds 100 ml.

Use

• Shake the spray thoroughly before and during use so the pigment mixes evenly.
• Apply the paint by spraying from a distance of roughly 25-30 cm from the surface, in smooth passes.
• Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one — this prevents runs and gives an even metallic look.
• It holds best on plastic or on a surface treated with a primer; once dry, details can be picked out with acrylic or enamel paints.
