A filter for toning a finished coat of paint in the warm brown shade Burnt Brown, carried under the designation TSC211.
Responsibility details are not available.
A filter is a heavily thinned transparent paint that shifts the overall tone of a finished coat without covering it. Unlike a patina, which draws into recesses and brings out the engraving, a filter acts on a whole area: it evens out the color blotches of camouflage, suppresses the artificial cleanness of a uniform spraying and gives a surface depth. Its place among the products for toning and aging matches that use.
The designation TSC211 and the name Burnt Brown set a warm brown shade. Brown filters suit areas that should look warmed through, dusty or weathered: earthmoving vehicles, wooden decks, chassis, the lower areas of hulls and anywhere a clean base tone would look new. You govern the strength of the intervention by the number of layers, not by the thickness of the coat.
A filter belongs on a completely dry and sealed coat, so ideally on a layer of varnish that protects the base color. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before work, because the pigment settles. It is laid on with a soft wide brush or an airbrush, and you work in several weak passes with the area left to dry between them; one heavy layer makes patches that are hard to correct. Try the effect out first on a piece of scrap plastic. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's directions on the packaging.
The delivery contains the product named. The model, brushes, thinner and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
