Responsibility details are not available.
Sand on a uniform is not one color but a whole range, and this shade with the number FS30279 of the US Federal Standard forms its middle. On figures you use it as the base tone of canvas trousers and shirts, canvas holsters, bandages and light tropical kit.
A sand base on a figure looks flat on its own; only working the folds turns it into cloth. Go into the hollows with a warmer brown tone and onto the tops of the folds with a lighter sand, keeping both transitions short. On a figure a smooth transition running the length of a whole sleeve is lost, whereas a short and distinct one survives even under a magnifier.
For figure modelers who need a reliable middle sand tone and want to derive both highlights and shadows from it. It also serves for canvas details in the scene around the figure.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, close the container after use and work in a well-ventilated space.
