Hauliers have always relied on dark green: it is prominent enough to carry the company identity and at the same time dark enough not to show every smear on long-distance routes. This shade is a rich dark green suited to large continuous areas: tractor unit cabs, the sides of box bodies and whole van bodies. The number in the name refers to the American Federal Standard color standard and serves as a guide to identifying the shade.
On company vehicles what counts is a clean surface and precise dividing lines. Apply the dark green in thin coats, then, and mask the boundary against the light field along the real seams of the bodywork.
