The green shade Mimetic Green 1 FS34258 from Lifecolor is a lighter green shifted toward yellow. On agricultural vehicles it serves well wherever the paint is meant to look faded after years in the sun.

The cabs of tractors, combine harvesters and sprayers spend most of their lives in direct sunlight and their green paint adapts to it. It does not darken; on the contrary, it fades to a lighter, slightly yellowish tone, and that is exactly where this shade belongs. You can use it as the machine's own color or as a top coat over a darker green that merely suggests the faded areas. The number in the name refers to the American Federal Standard color standard.
Fading is not even, and that is the key to making it believable. The horizontal surfaces suffer most, that is the cab roof, the top of the hood and the tanks, because the sun falls on them at right angles. Vertical sides fade more slowly, and the underside and the shaded surfaces beneath the body hardly at all. Apply the lighter green from the top down with decreasing intensity and leave out sharp boundaries altogether. Around the lettering and the markings that shielded the paint beneath them you can leave more saturated islands. The result then looks as if the vehicle works for a living rather than having been aged artificially.
