Lifecolor 4BO Flashed Shade is an acrylic Soviet green in a lighter, brightened position. It is a layer laid on a model only after the main tone.
Responsibility details are not available.
Brightened centers of large surfaces turn an evenly sprayed model into a model on which the scale is visible. This shade is the lighter position of the Soviet green 4BO and aims at exactly that step: it is applied inside flat panels, on the tops of armor plates and on the edges where in reality the most sun would fall.
The sequence is unambiguous. A uniform ground, the main green tone over the whole model, the darkening of the hollows and only at the end this brightening. Apply it before the main tone and the effect is lost. It is laid on thinly and only within defined areas, so that the original tone stays visible around the edges and the transition is not sharp. In the same numbered line the brand also offers the dark variant 4BO Deep Shade, so light and shadow keep to one color family. Only once all three steps are finished does it make sense to start on weathering and dust.
For modelers of Soviet and Eastern vehicles who work in layers and want their brightening in the same tone as the base. It serves on tanks in larger scales just as well as on small vehicles, where a uniform surface needs to be broken up optically.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, close it well after use and store the paint out of the reach of children.
