The brown blotch completes the Italian camouflage sheeting, and the shade Regio Esercito Marrone Telo Mimetico from Lifecolor is intended for exactly that, a water-based acrylic paint for figures and kit.

The brown element of the Italian camouflage sheeting closes the trio of shades the telo mimetico pattern is painted with. The Italian maker Lifecolor offers it in its water-based acrylic uniform line as a separate color, so you choose only the tones you really need.
The brown tone has the smallest area in the pattern and at the same time the highest contrast against its surroundings. Laid only over a finished green ground and the khaki blotches, its quantity can be used to tune the overall impression of the fabric: more brown pulls it toward earthiness, less leaves it fresh. The reverse order would mean laborious correcting, because a dark tone is hard to override with lighter colors.
On a small area of fabric it is enough to suggest the brown with a few short strokes along a fold. Watch the direction in which the fabric breaks; a blotch that ignores a fold gives away that this is painting and not weave.
For modelers of Italian vehicles and figures of the Second World War, for builders of dioramas from North Africa and the Mediterranean and for collectors who want color-accurate sheeting without mixing tones of their own.
