The light blue-gray with a French name, Lifecolor Gris Bleu Clair, is a shade that proves low contrast is not something worked with only in modern schemes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Lifecolor acrylic shade whose French name means literally light blue-gray. It belongs to the group of French-named colors in the same range and is the lighter counterpart of the dark blue-gray it is commonly combined with.
A blue cast in a gray is not an invention of recent times. It worked already back when schemes were not drawn up for radar but for the human eye: against the sky a blue-gray area gets lost and the outline of the machine is harder to read off. This shade therefore solves the same task as modern low-visibility grays, only several decades earlier and with a slightly warmer, softer delivery.
How to work with it
For modelers of French aircraft and ground vehicles and for everyone looking for a light blue-gray that does not look cold and can be used outside its original scheme too, for instance on wheel wells or as a base under shading.
An acrylic paint for modeling use. Work in a ventilated area and keep it out of the reach of children.
