The Lifecolor UA632 modeling paint, the medium Admiralty gray 507B, used on the ships of the Royal Navy during the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Admiralty Medium Grey 507B is a medium gray from the range of Admiralty shades that were used on the hulls and superstructures of the ships of the Royal Navy during the Second World War. The Admiralty then kept several degrees of gray distinguished by a letter, and 507B lies between the dark and the light degree. The shade is unsaturated and cool, and that is exactly why it works on a model: a gray of this type is meant to dissolve a ship visually in the misty northern light, not to make it stand out.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, so that the pigment settled at the bottom is evenly dispersed. Use the thinner intended for this range, and keep the thinning ratio and the method of application as instructed by the manufacturer on the packaging. Apply several thin coats with a pause between them; a single heavy coat will fill the engraving and the fine surface detail will disappear. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand; with larger ship hulls it pays to try the paint on an offcut first, because a large area makes the shade seem darker.
For builders of ship models who want the shades of the British wartime fleet matched within one range. It will find use on continuous areas of a hull and as a ground for the later accentuation of rivets, welds and rust traces.
Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given on the packaging.
