The basic brown flesh tone for figures is carried by the acrylic shade Lifecolor African Base Brown. It is the layer on which the highlights and shadows of the face and hands stand.

Painting flesh stands on a trio of shades: the base, the highlight and the shadow. African Base Brown is exactly that base in the Lifecolor acrylic range. A continuous layer that the whole face, neck and hands receive and from which everything else follows. In the same part of the range a lighter and a darker tone of the same flesh continue from it, so you can work with the whole group and do not have to mix shades at random.
A figure gives the machine its scale. A motorcycle, a tank or a machine in a diorama does not look large on its own. Only a person standing beside it gives it size. And because a viewer always looks at the face of a figure first, it is the flesh that decides the impression of the whole scene.
Next to dark, worn metal a warm brown flesh tone also stands out well, so the figure does not get lost even in a mechanical scene full of gray and black areas.
For modelers who paint figures and busts in any scale, and for the makers of dioramas with crews and machine operators.
Work in a ventilated space, close the container carefully after use and keep out of the reach of children.
