The deep shadow in the recesses of a cockpit is covered by the acrylic paint Lifecolor Deep Cockpit, intended for the corners of an interior that light practically does not reach.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cockpit is an enclosed space and light falls off in it very quickly. When a whole interior is painted in one tone, it loses depth and through the glazing it looks like a flat box. The acrylic shade Lifecolor Deep Cockpit deals with the darkest position: it belongs where in reality there would be almost complete shadow.
This tone is applied first and quite purposefully. First the deepest places are filled, and only then are the surrounding areas covered with the basic color of the interior, so that the shadow stays only where it belongs. It is good to leave the transitions between the shadow and the base soft, because a sharp boundary does not arise in an enclosed space. At the end the edges and protrusions are gone over with a lighter tone: the contrast between depth and light then gives a cockpit volume even when seen from above.
It will be reached for by builders of aircraft and helicopters, but it will do the same service in the interiors of vehicles, turrets and the cabs of construction machinery. It will also find use with models where the interior is only partly visible: it is precisely there that a deep shadow is the least demanding route to the impression that there really is some space behind the glass.
Keep out of the reach of children, ensure ventilation while working and close the container after use.
