The medium brown tone Medium Brown Hemp from Lifecolor stands in the middle when painting hemp materials, between a dark base and a light accentuation.
Responsibility details are not available.
Coarse hemp fabric always has several positions of brown on it at once. The acrylic shade Medium Brown Hemp covers the middle one and in practice is the most used of the whole group, because it is what forms the actual color of a sack, a rope or a tarpaulin. The darker tones under it make the shadow, the lighter ones above it the accentuation.
Layering has a logic worth keeping to. The darkest shade gets everywhere and lays down the shadow. The middle one is applied over most of the visible area and determines what color the object will have. The light one touches only the edges and the raised fibers. Anyone who leaves out the middle link gets a contrasty, hard result, because between the shadow and the light an area is missing for the eye to rest on. With fabric this shows even more than with masonry, because the folds are small and densely side by side.
For modelers of dioramas with architecture and equipment, for builders of historical scenes and for ship modelers. On its own it will serve as an ordinary medium brown for wood, leather and the earthy elements of terrain.
Keep out of the reach of children and paint in a well-ventilated room.
