Responsibility details are not available.
An acrylic paint from the railroad range of the Lifecolor brand. The Italian word castano means chestnut, so this is a warm brown. The attribute Satin in the name sets a silky gloss level. The shade belongs to the Italian-named part of the range, which extends the scale of railroad colors with a circle of colors of its own.
In modeling brown is often taken only as a color for dirtying, but with railroad vehicles it is a full finish shade for large areas. The difference is fundamental: a finish brown has to be continuous and uniform, whereas a brown for weathering is meant to be irregular. A chestnut tone with a satin surface belongs unambiguously to the first group and is used where a brown area is meant to look maintained.
For railroad modelers who need a brown as a finish shade and not as an effect. It will also find use in building dioramas, where a warm brown tone balances the preponderance of gray and blue areas and keeps a scene from looking cold.
Keep out of the reach of children. Work in a ventilated area and protect your eyes and skin. Follow the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
