A modeling storage box from the range of aids sold alongside bottles, pipettes and palettes. Its job is simple: to keep small materials together, at hand and out of reach of dust. Anyone who has been building for a while knows how quickly the bench fills with sheets, offcuts and parts that have no place of their own, and how easily one of them then gets lost or damaged.
With modeling materials dust is a worse enemy than time. It settles on the adhesive side, on a decal and on a degreased part, and during the next stage of work it gets worked in under the paint. Close the box after putting material in, therefore, and do not leave it standing in direct sunlight, which takes the shade out of paper backings and printed sheets alike. Keep it dry inside and do not put in anything that has just been washed or soaked with thinner. It is also worth labeling the contents on the outside, otherwise identical boxes on a shelf soon start getting mixed up.
It will be appreciated most by anyone who builds several models at once and needs the material for work in progress kept separate from the stock. It also serves simply for tidying the bench at the end of the evening, when it is easier to sweep everything into one box than to decide what belongs where.
The box itself is supplied. Decals, paints, tools and any other contents are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
