The difference in tone between a kept lawn and an area that nobody mows is very useful when building scenery. This shade aims at the second: the duller, yellow-green tone of growth that grows by itself by fences, around wrecks, between tracks and on shoulders.
The grain belongs to the finest category, so it does not imitate individual blades but continuous low growth seen from a distance. That is precisely its strength in small scales, where a coarser material would look like scrub. Besides use over an area it also suits bringing things out: sprinkled over a green area it suggests the places where growth passes into weeds.
The bag holds 353 cm³, that is 21.6 cubic inches. It is the smaller of the ordinary packages, which with a shade for bringing things out makes sense, because much less of it is used up than of a basic green. Fastness of color and usability across scales are stated expressly.
The layer is laid into thinned PVA glue and once dry the excess is knocked off. With weeds it pays off to spread irregularly, in clusters and bands, not evenly over a whole area. Unmown growth grows where nobody treads on it, so the clusters belong at the edges, by walls and by obstacles, whereas trodden places stay bare.
Inside there is only the loose material in a resealable bag. A fixing agent and aids for applying it are not packed with it. The bag can be closed again after pouring some out, so the rest neither dries out nor spills.
