A scenic accessory for building dioramas: an overgrown field with bushes in the color key of late summer. You place the growth on a base to your own composition.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is scenic material for building dioramas and display case scenes from the maker AMMO of Mig Jimenez, to whom the code designation of the item refers. The subject is an overgrown field with bushes, that is, the kind of growth that springs up on field margins, on the edges of tracks and on uncultivated ground. The qualifier late summer describes the color key of the vegetation: the green is no longer fresh and springlike but shifted into warmer, drier tones.
Vegetation tends to be what gives a scene scale and life. The growth covers the transition between the base and the model, breaks up the empty areas of the base and leads the eye of the viewer where you want it. It comes into its own with military vehicles, with figures and with civilian and railway settings, because an overgrown field margin by itself defines neither a period nor a country.
Lay the composition out dry first and only then reach for the glue. Growth in nature does not grow evenly, so leave some places denser and others almost bare; a continuous carpet of the same height looks artificial. Vary the tufts in size and in shade and leave the taller ones where nobody would cut them, that is, along fences, stones and ditches. They are fixed with a glue intended for scenery according to the instructions of the manufacturer. Work in smaller areas, so that the glue does not dry before you settle the growth, and leave a finished spot alone to cure.
The scenic material alone is supplied. The base, the model, figures, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
