A themed set from AMMO of Mig Jimenez for surface effects on models of Japanese aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese aircraft of the Second World War are among the most rewarding subjects once it comes to wear. Their paintwork held badly and in service it rubbed away to bare metal, most of all at the wing root, around the cockpit, at the access panels and everywhere the ground crew reached. Added to that were harsh sun and salt air, which bleached the paint to a washed-out shade, and dusty field airstrips, which left deposits on the landing gear and the underside of the fuselage. The same type can therefore look different every time, depending on where and how long it flew.
It is a pack of products for surface effects put together for exactly this theme. Which products the package contains, the order in which they are applied and which thinner is intended for them are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The manufacturer is AMMO of Mig Jimenez.
Work in layers and from the whole to the detail: first the overall tone and the emphasis on shapes, then the deposits and finally the chipping. Let each step dry properly. Keep the amount of wear in check and chip only where there was a reason for it, since a continuously worn surface across a whole wing looks untrue. Always try the procedure on an offcut or on the underside of the model.
A model, brushes and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
