Six paints for the interiors of armored vehicles: the cream lining of the fighting compartment, gearbox green, leather, aluminum and factory red.
Responsibility details are not available.
An open hatch, a view into the driver's compartment or a lifted engine grille reveal more on a model than one would expect. This line-up answers exactly the question of what the inside should be painted with, and every bottle has its own purpose in the listing.
Interior Buff is the standard light finish of the fighting compartments of closed armored vehicles, because the crew needed to reflect as much as possible of the little light that got inside. Panzer Dunkelgrau Base, by contrast, belongs on engines and mechanical parts and also on the interiors of German trucks and light open vehicles. Red Primer Base suits the edges of hatches and replaced parts that were left in the factory anti-corrosion layer.
Gearbox Green is listed for the covers of gearboxes and other parts of the transmission on most types of armored vehicle. Aluminium serves for metal elements inside a vehicle and for pieces of the crew's personal equipment, and Leather Brown is ready for seats, straps, leather handles and similar details.
The paints belong to the water-thinnable acrylic line. In enclosed spaces it works well to apply them more thinly and in two passes, because a thick coat fills the fine castings of the controls. The shades are matte, so dry pastel and the oil wash with which the interior is finally deepened hold well on them.
It is worth noting that the palette comes in even on parts that will barely be visible in the end. An open hatch reveals only a fraction of the space, but it is precisely the contrast between the light finish and the dark machinery that gives the view a depth a uniformly painted interior will never have.
