About product

WWII RAF - P.R.U. Blue (Mr.Paint)

A pre-thinned lacquer (acrylic lacquer) modeling paint from Mr.Paint intended exclusively for airbrush application. The shade matches British P.R.U. Blue (Photo Reconnaissance Unit) — a blue-gray color the RAF used during the Second World War for the overall finish of its photo-reconnaissance aircraft. The uniform blue coloring helped unarmed, fast aircraft blend into the sky at high altitude. The paint is ready to spray straight from the bottle, has a fine pigment, good coverage, dries quickly and leaves a semigloss finish. The bottle holds 30 ml.

Use

  • Overall finish of RAF photo-reconnaissance aircraft (Photo Reconnaissance Unit)
  • Camouflage for unarmed reconnaissance aircraft operating at high altitude
  • Applied with an airbrush in thin coats, ideally over a good primer
  • If needed, thin with the matching lacquer thinner from the same brand

Who it is for

For modelers building British RAF photo-reconnaissance aircraft from the Second World War who work with an airbrush and want the exact shade for an authentic overall finish. Suitable for plastic, resin and metal.

A lacquer (nitro) product — highly flammable. Use only with an airbrush in a well-ventilated area or a spray booth, wear a respirator and protect your skin and eyes. Keep away from children, open flame and spark sources.
