About product

Mr.Paint Olive Drab 41 (WWII US, until 1943)

A lacquer model paint from Mr.Paint in the olive green shade Olive Drab no. 41. It represents the upper camouflage color of American aircraft and ground equipment used until roughly 1943. The paint is on a lacquer base, pre-thinned and ready for immediate application with an airbrush; it is supplied in a volume of 30 ml and dries to a semi-matte (satin) surface.

Use

  • the upper camouflage of American aircraft and vehicles of the early phase of the Second World War (until 1943)
  • it is applied solely with an airbrush, with a 0.3 mm nozzle usually without further thinning
  • a pressure of roughly 10 to 25 psi is recommended, ideally over a primer coat
  • for fine adjustment it can be thinned with the matching thinner for lacquer paints of the same brand
  • clean the airbrush after use with a cleaner suitable for lacquer paints

Who the paint is for

For modelers who build American aircraft and ground equipment of the early period of the Second World War and who work with an airbrush. Thanks to the pre-thinning and the good coverage it will be appreciated above all by advanced and experienced builders.

The lacquer product is flammable and its vapors are harmful to health. Use only in a well-ventilated area, with respiratory protection (a respirator) and away from open flame. Intended for airbrush application only; keep out of the reach of children.

FAQ

It is on a lacquer base and pre-thinned; with a 0.3 mm nozzle there is usually no need to thin it further. For fine adjustment the matching thinner for lacquer paints can be used.

It is the olive green upper camouflage color of American aircraft and ground equipment used until roughly 1943.

The paint is intended for airbrush application. Because of the lacquer base and the fast drying, a brush is not recommended.
