Mr.Paint Orange Yellow 47 (WWII US)

A lacquer model paint from Mr.Paint in the shade Orange Yellow no. 47, a striking orange yellow. It was used on American training aircraft and for highly visible recognition and warning markings. The paint is on a lacquer base, pre-thinned and ready for immediate application with an airbrush; it is supplied in a volume of 30 ml and dries to a semi-matte (satin) surface.

Use

• the finishes of American training aircraft and highly visible recognition or warning markings
• it is applied solely with an airbrush, with a 0.3 mm nozzle usually without further thinning
• a pressure of roughly 10 to 25 psi is recommended, ideally over a primer coat, as light shades cover better over a light base
• for fine adjustment it can be thinned with the matching thinner for lacquer paints of the same brand
• clean the airbrush after use with a cleaner suitable for lacquer paints
