This is a modeling paint, not a kit. Tamiya XF-50 Field Blue is a water-based acrylic paint in a jar holding 23 ml. At Tamiya the letters XF denote the matte range (as opposed to the gloss X range), so the paint dries to a flat, non-reflective surface with no need for additional matting. The shade is a saturated blue-gray, a cool blue markedly muted by a gray component.
Thin the paint only with Tamiya X-20A thinner, which is intended for the acrylic X and XF range. The paint suits an airbrush and an ordinary brush. Always stir it thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom of the jar. For spraying, thin it to a consistency close to milk and spray in several thin coats; for a brush only a slight thinning is enough so that the paint does not leave streaks. Apply it to a clean, degreased surface, ideally over a primer. Let the paint dry properly between coats.
For modelers of aircraft and ground vehicles and for collectors of figures who need a reliable matte blue-gray from a proven range. Thanks to the standard 23 ml jar it lasts for a larger number of builds, and the paint goes well with the other shades of the XF range.
The paint is flammable. Use in well-ventilated areas, protect your airways with a suitable respirator when spraying with an airbrush and avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Keep out of the reach of children. Close the jar carefully after use.
