A metallic paint of the Xtreme Metal range intended to imitate chrome. It is the most demanding shade of the whole range: the result depends not so much on the paint itself as on the quality of the base. It is applied with an airbrush, as a mirror effect is practically impossible to get with a brush.
The base has to be perfectly smooth and glossy black, ideally from the black base color of the same range. Every scratch, speck of dust or grain will be emphasized in chrome. Spray thinly, at low pressure and from closer in; chrome builds up from a fine, polishing pass, not from a wet coat. Once dry, handle the surface as little as possible, as fingerprints show on chrome. Do not put a clear coat over chrome unless you have to, as every further layer mutes the reflection. Clean the airbrush after spraying with the product recommended for this range, as ordinary water is not enough to clean it.
For modelers of cars, motorcycles and science fiction subjects who work with an airbrush and want real mirror metal instead of a silver paint. For beginners without an airbrush it is an unsuitable choice.
Keep out of the reach of children, use in a ventilated space and wear a respirator when spraying. Check the volume of the package, the type of thinner and the drying time on the label.
