An add-on set of fine photo-etched metal parts from Hasegawa in 1:700 scale, intended to raise the detail of warship models. It is not a ship kit but an upgrade set (grade-up) with which you replace the coarser plastic parts by finer metal ones. Photo-etched metal gives a model the delicacy that injection-molded plastic cannot reach in this scale.
Photo-etched sets of the WL Grade-Up line typically cover fine elements of the superstructure and the ship's fittings, such as railings, ladders, platforms and other small details. The parts are broken out of the carrier fret and bent to shape. The exact contents of sheet No.60 follow the particular set.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade or photo-etch scissors on a cutting mat. Bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or between two steel rules. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount. Lay down a primer suitable for metal before painting and spray thin coats with an airbrush.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a ship model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
