An add-on set for a model of the Fw 190D fighter in 1:144 scale. The range of parts and their purpose are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fw 190D is a late version of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter, told apart from the earlier machines at first glance by its lengthened nose and the longer rear part of the fuselage. Among modelers it is nicknamed the Dora. It came about as an answer to Allied fighters operating at greater altitudes, and its recognition features include a slimmer silhouette and a vertical tail surface enlarged compared with the earlier versions.
This is an accessory for a model of the Fw 190D in 1:144 scale, that is, parts that are added to a finished kit. Which areas of the aircraft the set deals with and how many parts it contains are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that the tiny part does not break. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; with parts that are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue has proved itself. The specific procedure and the order of the steps are given in the manufacturer's instructions. At 1:144 scale it pays to work over a mat with a raised edge so that the tiny parts do not end up on the floor.
The set suits modelers who build aircraft in a small scale and want to raise the level of detail beyond the basic kit. The kit, paints, glue and tools are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
