A Kagero publication devoted to the operations of the Luftwaffe over Sevastopol. The number 06 marks the position of the title within the series.
Responsibility details are not available.
The title deals with the commitment of the Luftwaffe over Sevastopol in the Second World War. Sevastopol was a port in the Crimea and the main base of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet; the fortified city withstood a long siege, and the fighting for it was among the hardest on the southern stretch of the Eastern Front. Air power played a marked role in it, because the port could be supplied in practice only by sea, and raids on that link decided the fate of the defenders.
The publication comes from Kagero, which has long devoted itself to aviation and military history. The number 06 at the start of the name is a running designation within the series, not a part of the subject; the sister volumes carry the same build of name with a different number and a different theme.
It suits the modeler who does not want to build only from the instructions but also needs the context around the model: who flew over the area in question, against what and in what conditions. That is exactly what a credible diorama grows out of, along with the decision how much dust or wear the machine deserves. A collector of literature on aviation over the Eastern Front will appreciate it too. The page count, the language and the picture content are given by the publisher's description of the particular edition.
A model, a kit and modeling materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
