A kit of the command guise of the Japanese Type 95 Ha-Go light tank in 1:100 scale from Zebranomodel. The ver.2 designation sets this item apart from the ver.1 guise, which the manufacturer issues alongside it.
The Type 95 Ha-Go was a Japanese light tank of the 1930s with an air-cooled diesel engine, a single-man turret and a 37 mm main weapon. Vehicles intended for unit commanders received extended signals equipment, which showed outwardly above all in antenna gear. Because the interior space of a light tank was limited, every such reworking meant a compromise in the layout of the crew stations or in the ammunition supply. Command vehicles therefore made up only a small part of the overall production of the type.
Work from the larger to the smaller: first the hull and the running gear, then the turret and finally the fine external parts, which are easily damaged in handling. Remove the parting lines with fine abrasive paper and choose the glue to suit the material of the parts. Apply a thin primer before painting. Lay the base shade on in coats and keep the color blotches of the Japanese scheme soft, as hard edges read harshly at a small scale. At the end, one discreet wash, a fine dry brush on the edges and light dust on the running gear and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
