Eastern Express 1:144 airport service equipment, set 1 is a plastic kit of four airport service vehicles, meant to go with models of airliners and with airport scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Eastern Express. It is not an aircraft model but a set of four airport service vehicles, that is the equipment that moves around the apron beside a parked airliner. It is exactly this kind of small vehicle that gives a display case of airliners context and scale, because an aircraft on an empty base looks incomplete on its own.
The package consists of plastic sprues with four vehicles, a clear sprue for the glazing and a decal sheet. The instructions are multilingual. The subjects are vehicles used at airports in Russia and in the countries of the former Eastern Bloc, which makes them a fitting complement to models of aircraft operated in that region.
The parts are small, so cut them off with a sharp scalpel and preferably on a light surface, so that they do not get lost. Dry-fit them and glue them with a thin cement for plastic applied with a brush, which runs into the joint and does not overflow. Mask the glazing precisely and glue it with a canopy glue. Start painting with a primer. Airport equipment tends to be conspicuous, often yellow, orange or white with warning stripes, and strong shades should be sprayed over a light base, otherwise they do not cover. Apply the decals over a gloss surface. Keep the weathering light, because on small vehicles a little dust and a hint of chipping are enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
