An accurate metal pitot for the BAC Lightning 1:144

A turned metal pitot tip for a model of the British BAC Lightning interceptor in 1:144 scale. It replaces the plastic tube of the kit with a more accurate and stronger metal part.

Thanks to the machining on a lathe the shape of the pitot is clean and symmetrical. The metal version will survive ordinary handling and the finished model gains a finer and more realistic look. You cut off the original plastic part and glue the metal replacement in its place.
