A cast resin accessory in 1:144 scale for a model of the Boeing 757-200. It is not a kit of the aircraft, but replacement parts of the wing: the landing flaps in the working position. Most kits of airliners have the wing cast in the cruise configuration with the flaps retracted, so the model stands on its base in a shape you will never see on the ground or during an approach. The set resolves this contradiction and is intended for modelers who are building the aircraft in the landing configuration or for a diorama on the apron.
The Boeing 757 is a narrow-body airliner with conspicuously capable high-lift devices — it was precisely the combination of powerful engines and an efficient wing that gave it the reputation of a machine that manages short and high-altitude runways. Extended flaps reveal what is otherwise hidden: the flap tracks, the fairings of their mechanism on the underside of the wing and the gaps between the individual elements of the high-lift devices. A model with the high-lift devices extended therefore looks markedly more alive than the same aircraft with a smooth wing.
The intervention into the wing is irreversible, so try dry first where the cut will run, and only then cut. Wash the mold release agent off the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and cut the casting remnants away with a saw. Resin sands faster than plastic — level the mating surfaces carefully, therefore, and keep testing the fit. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the inner surfaces of the flaps and the space beneath them before you fit the parts; a brush will not get in there later.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
