Armory 1:144 - wheels for the SH-60 Seahawk with weighted tires is a resin set of replacement landing gear wheels for models of a naval helicopter, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not a model but a detail set. The resin wheels replace the landing gear wheels from the plastic kit of the SH-60 naval helicopter in 1:144 scale. The tires have a weighted contact patch cast in, so the machine on a deck or on a base looks as if it were really resting on its wheels.
The SH-60 is a twin-engine naval helicopter of American design, derived from the army type and adapted for operation from ships. It has fixed landing gear with main wheels and with the rear wheel moved forward, so that the machine fits into the hangar of smaller vessels. The gear does not retract and stays in plain sight on a finished model.
Before painting, wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap so that the surface takes the primer. Cut the casting block off with a saw, not with nippers; resin crumbles when it is nipped. Work in this order: first spray the whole wheel in the shade of the tire, once it has dried finish the rim, and only at the end glue the wheel to the gear leg. Painting a wheel that is already glued on means needless masking in a place you cannot reach. They are attached with cyanoacrylate glue in small drops, ideally applied with the tip of a wire. Before the glue hardens, stand the model on a flat board and turn the wheels so that the flattened contact patch sits on its whole area. Naval machines suffer from salt and abrasion, so a final light dusting of the tires with a pale pigment does not look out of place.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
