This product is a decal sheet, not a model. It brings the markings of the Panzer I Ausf. A light tank in the large 1:16 scale and serves to finish a model that is already built and painted. This brand's sheets are printed on a thin carrier film, so once dry and clear-coated they all but merge with the surface of the paint and leave no visible glossy frame.
The Panzer I Ausf. A was a German light tank of the first half of the 1930s. It was a small, lightly armored machine with a crew of two and machine gun armament in a rotating turret, created above all as a training and transitional design for building up tank units. In the field it became clear that neither the armor nor the armament was enough to fight armored vehicles, and the type was gradually replaced by heavier machines. For a modeler it is interesting for its small size, its riveted and bolted detail and its simple running gear, which is readable precisely in 1:16 scale.
A decal holds best on a smooth gloss surface. So first go over the spot where the marking will sit with a gloss clear coat. Cut the motif out close to the printing, soak it for a few seconds in clean lukewarm water and let it rest until the carrier film starts to slide freely. Transfer it onto the surface of the model with a soft brush, blot the excess water with a paper tissue and let it dry thoroughly. On rivets, edges and pressings a decal softener helps, as it relaxes the film and lets it settle into the relief. Finally go over the whole model with a flat or semi-gloss clear coat, and only then move on to washes and weathering.
