A set of two road construction signs in the version with red markings from the manufacturer MAiM. Warning elements around closures and excavations are among the most characteristic details of a modern street, so they give a diorama a contemporary atmosphere at once. The set is supplied as unpainted castings to be cleaned up and painted.
The signs mark out an excavation, a pavement under repair or a diversion, and at the same time they lead the viewer's eye naturally through the composition. In 1:16 scale they are the ideal partner for the MAiM civilian figures and street furniture; two separate pieces let you fence a scene off from both sides or create a corridor for pedestrians. They also work superbly as an accessory to wrecks, rubble and post-apocalyptic subjects, where broken signage tells a story of its own.
After cleaning up and priming, paint the warning stripes; the easiest way to get sharp transitions between red and white is with masking tape. Then add scuffs with a brush, traces of rust and dust from the base; in reality construction signage tends to be considerably battered, so you do not have to hold back on the weathering. A semi-matte clear coat at the end evens the surface out and protects the paintwork.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
