Aber 1:16 Tiger I, Ausf.E – Middle version (basic set) is a photo-etched detail set for refining a large scale model of the German Tiger I heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet intended to refine the large scale kit of the German Tiger I heavy tank (Pz.Kpfw. VI) in the Ausf.E version, middle production, in 1:16 scale. It is not a model of the tank but an accessory to a kit you already own. As the basic set it forms the starting piece that the other separate sets build on. It is made by the Polish company Aber.
The Tiger I was one of the best known heavy tanks of the Second World War. It was armed with the 88 mm KwK 36 gun and had thick frontal armor. It went through a series of changes during production, so early, middle and late versions are distinguished, differing in details of the superstructure, fenders and fittings.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them on a photo-etch bending tool or against a ruler. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or a special glue for photo-etched metal. Finish the running gear and the interior parts before closing the hull. Degrease the parts and apply a primer before painting.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
