GasPatch 1:16 Spandau 08/15 is a pair of resin miniatures of the German aircraft machine gun of the First World War. A very detailed armament accessory for a large scale, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Greek maker GasPatch contains two resin replicas of the German aircraft machine gun Spandau LMG 08/15 in its standard form. The large 1:16 scale allows a high level of detail. The package is an accessory for modelers, not a standalone aircraft kit.
The Spandau LMG 08/15 was the air-cooled aircraft version of the Maxim system in 7.92 mm caliber. It served as the standard fixed, forward-firing synchronized armament of the great majority of German fighters of the First World War, starting with the Fokker monoplanes. The casting captures the perforated barrel jacket and the mechanism of the weapon.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand with your airways protected. In the large scale, shades of oxidized steel, fine dry brushing and discreet patina come out well.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
