A small diorama accessory, not a model of a vehicle or a figure. The package contains a resin free-standing drinking water dispenser and two bottles, so you fit one onto the dispenser and stand the other beside it as a spare. It is exactly this everyday equipment that turns an empty area under a model into a believable space. The 1:20 scale corresponds to large figures and models of cars, where small objects have to match the detail of the main model. The castings are smooth, with the mold seams of the plastic body and the shape of the bottle suggested. It is made by the Korean company DEF Model.
The dispenser is a typical element of interiors of recent decades and it has not aged: it suits a garage and a workshop, an office, the back area of a racing team in the pits, a military command post and a waiting room. In a scene it works best against a wall or in a corner, where the movement of the figures naturally leads. A spare bottle laid beside it or propped against the wall settles a scene immediately.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water, remove the casting blocks and sand the surfaces; sand resin wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer, spray the body of the dispenser white or light gray, and the taps and the grille of the drip tray a dark metallic color. The bottle looks best if you undercoat it a very light blue and finish it with gloss varnish, which imitates the sheen of translucent plastic. At the end add a faint hint of dirt in the seams and around the drip tray, because a brand-new, clean object looks out of place in a scene.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
