An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese destroyer DDG-138 TAIZHOU of the Sovremenny class (project 956EM) in 1:200 scale from Bronco. The large scale gives a sizeable model with room for detailing the weapon systems, the radars and the superstructures. The 956EM form represents the improved export variant of this class.
The destroyer DDG-138 TAIZHOU belongs to the ships of the Sovremenny class in the improved project 956EM form operated by the PLA Navy. It is a multipurpose warship with gun and missile armament, intended for anti-ship, anti-aircraft and escort tasks. The superstructures carry characteristic radars and fire control systems.
Align the large hull carefully and stiffen it. The fine antennas, radars and railings can be added with photo-etched parts. Uniform naval shades laid on with an airbrush are advisable, with the decks and details brought out by a wash and the surface evened out with a semi-matte clear coat; the model shows well on a stand or built to the waterline.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
