A set of turned metal gun barrels for the battleships HMS Rodney and HMS Nelson in 1:200 scale from the Polish maker Aber. The precise metal barrels replace the plastic ones from the model: it is not a ship model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail accessory in turned metal, not a ship model. The set contains precisely turned metal barrels for the British battleships of the Nelson class, HMS Rodney and HMS Nelson, in 1:200 scale. The metal barrels replace the plastic ones from the large-scale kit: they have a perfectly round section with no mold seam, the correct taper and a clean muzzle. The set is made by Aber, a Polish specialist in metal accessories, and is intended for the large kit of this ship in 1:200 scale.
HMS Nelson and HMS Rodney were British battleships of the late 1920s. They were marked by an unusual arrangement of the main battery: all three main-battery turrets were concentrated forward, ahead of the superstructure. Secondary and anti-aircraft guns complemented them. It is exactly the long barrels that are a visually prominent element on a model.
For modelers who are building HMS Rodney or HMS Nelson in 1:200 scale and want perfectly straight barrels with no seams. Even a less experienced modeler can fit them; all that is needed is cyanoacrylate glue.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
