1:200 turned ship barrels cover the armament of a large kit from main battery to flak. Complete sets exist for German, British, American and Japanese capital ships, while generic packs supply 20 mm and 37 mm anti-aircraft barrels for German vessels or Oerlikons and Bofors for the American navy, counted out in sixteens and twenties. Because the parts are machined rather than moulded, a barrel over ten centimetres long still comes out of the bag straight.

At 1:200 a main battery barrel passes ten centimetres and plastic of that length simply bends with time; brass does not, and it carries a properly stepped muzzle brake into the bargain. The practical route is one complete set for your own ship plus generic flak packs for later projects. Hulls are under 1:200 ship model kits, all barrel scales under turned ship barrels, and full upgrades under 1:200 ship detail sets.
