Injection-molded plastic kit of the C-160 Transall military transport aircraft in the unusual small 1:220 scale from Revell. Thanks to the tiny scale it is a compact model with a lower parts count that offers finely molded surfaces and rotating propellers. Decals for a German and a French scheme are included.
The C-160 Transall is a twin-engine turboprop transport developed jointly by Germany and France for the tactical movement of troops and materiel. Its high-mounted wing and rear loading ramp let it operate from improvised airfields and drop loads. It stayed in service with both air forces for decades and became the workhorse of tactical transport.
At a small scale clean work decides everything — sand down the mold seams and fill the fuselage joints. Decide on the German or the French scheme and apply the paint with an airbrush over a primer. Leave the propellers free to turn and do not glue them. Apply the decals over a smooth gloss base; the engraved lines only need discreet emphasis so that the model does not look dirty at this scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
